Political debate

bighammer, I agree with you. If I remember correctly, it seems that we lost some very valuable TDR members during the last political debate on this website. I for one feel the loss. There should be a section to debate these things without having the possibility of affecting our membership. Just my $. 02

No way..... keep going, I like to read the post of a bunch of angry old farts! And if anyone wants to "drop out" because of what gets said, when so be it. You just have to be as tough as the trucks you drive, if not then maybe you should go back to a beetle, or ford focus? Bring it on.

I agree with y-knot, I would not dream of not coming around the site over something as small as someone voicing their opinion. Is it possible that we are in this sorry state of affairs because too many people dont voice their opinion? By the way, I dont believe in throwing away votes, I respect what the president has done, and will continue to vote for the party that best represents my views and ideas.

All yall Texicans better wake up cause this state is turning into the next California . I see it every day at my job but no one wants to believe it . More people , more problems.

Oh I hear ya... but what are ya gonna do, ya know? hopefully by the time it gets really bad, my permanent address will be up in the mountains of Colorado (town population = 300)

all of my hot rods are smog exempt... if it gets really bad, I have no problem putting a cummins in a smog exempt 4x4... maybe an old Power Wagon? :D

yeah, I hate Texas more and more every day... I'm hanging out in Oklahoma right now... NO inspections up here... hmm... ;)

Two things;

1) There is only one way I would be completely satisfied with the way things are being run, but "they" are not likely to make me KING, so I believe the best course is to pick the person/party that is closest to my bliefs, even though I may be unhappy with some things he/she/it does.

2) There is one very LARGE problem with term limits; it hands over the real power to the career bureacrats PERIOD.

That is a worse outcome than we have now.

Much of what we complain about in our officials now is really in the control of the lower level career office holders. If our elected officials have only one term, they will not have a chance to really change anything.
