Go and do some reserach on the web on ULSD (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel). I believe we are being conditioned for the higher prices of diesel we'll see here in the near future. Just my theory.

We use to see diesel cheaper than reg unleaded, but I believe thats a thing of the past. Once the ULSD comes out nationwide in 2006 it should be close to or slightly higher than the unleaded gas.

You pay close to $3. 00 bucks a gallon for awhile when you can afford to, and $2. 00 will seem like a God send. :(

Wait until summer when the gasoline/diesel price will invert itself. They always use home heating oil as an excuse to raise diesel in the winter.

Here in northern Canada it is at a minimum of about $3. 76/gal, and not going down anytime soon, what a great turn of events, never thought I'd see it happen.

Fuel prices are the biggest scam in recorded human history, and the only reason it continues is because our govt. makes billions on it as well. I personally love my truck, but I could get by with much less of a truck. I will not keep my truck if fuel prices keep going up. I will not own a truck that gets 14mpg when fuel is making its way towards $2. 50+ a gallon. When I bought this truck 10 months ago fuel was $1. 48 a gallon, today I paid $2. 15 p/g. Thats BS! At this rate, we will see $3 p/g very soon. 30 x $3 p/g is $90 per fill up! Your anus will be much safer in prison than at the pumps! If fuel is this high or higher a month from now, I will be driving a V6 again. MAN IT FEELS GOOD TO VENT!! :D

Mandatory changes in the sulphur levels that were put in place before Clinton left office has required the refineries to retool their productions lines. This has probably slowed production and increased the costs of bringing the product to market. Guess who has to pay? Funny how a politician can put something in progress that doesn't take effect until he is long gone. I wish more people would do their homework during election time.

its a shame you bring up Clinton because if he was still in office i really believe we would not have these problems, but thats my opinion

And my stocks would still be making money.
