hmm, its a good thought, but wouldn't that affect his fuel pressure?

Its possible. I was just going off of what he said about having plenty of fuel, and assuming that meant plenty of black smoke. It could be the the turbo is to small. I have the same turbo with a very similiar setup except I have larger injectors and don't have the same issue. Thats why I was suspecting a boost leak somewhere, but each truck is a little different. I am still suspect of the comp personnaly and would advise to try another one if he knows somebody with one, before trying another turbo, unless he happens to know somebody with another one of those also.

well from what i have been told my hp should be at 500 rwhp with no problem for the mods i have (see mods below). dynoed a couple weeks ago an only put down 438/875. any ideas where the rest of the power is? thought maybe my comp was bad but edge says it is ok. the only thing i can think of is i n need a bigger turbo then the bell (pius)turbo i am running now. any turbo sug?

Only on here would someone wonder why his truck was *ONLY* 438hp/875tq.

I don't know if your turbo is ideal for your setup (just don't know a lot about it), but i would be fairly certain it will flow enough air to exceed 438hp. You definitely have enough injector to exceed that as well. I agree with Ted that something isn't quite right with your truck and that a boost leak could be your problem. Seems with your egt's being at 1600+ your getting a good bit of fuel, it's just not burning like it should.

usb turbo it has a 12 1/2 cm housing pius told me keith. could i still have a boost leak even if i am getting 41 or 42 psi of boost?

We tested the USB once... Lawrence hated it. Said EGT was way up there, and so was the drive pressure. Now, the WSB would be a MUCH BETTER fit to your application.



I'd imagine that USB with a 12. 5cm housing would be hurting you around 40hp or so, maybe a bit more.
