i drove a commander rental car last year, what a joke of a vehicle, it felt so heavy and obese to drive the thing had a hard time getting out of its own shadow, there was less than a 1ft of space behind the back seat, a suit case wouldn't even fit couple that with them putting a big box on the floor to hold the jack in that area, it was only really capable of holding a boogie board. also very rattlely and basically a POS all the way around, its very clear why the thing is not selling. chevy seems to being doing very well with their suburban/tahoe in the new body style. meanwhile chrysler keeps selling these jeep models that are sucking. they depended on the durango which did sell very well in the old body style but the new one is ugly, and has always been ugly from the word go. why they didn't maintain the dakota look on it I don't know.

I rented a Commander last fall in CO It was all loaded up with a 4. 7L V8. I liked it adequate power for a small engine. better seats than my ram---a lot better!

Several friends commented that they liked it also. Kinda like to have one in the driveway now.

A ramburban with a CTD would be sweet. As it is I was forced to the darkside when I wanted a diesel SUV, only one out there..... A Ford Excursion with a PSD. So far so good with it, its a late build 04, had a clean oasis report w/58k on it. I wont be towing anything as heavy as I do with my Cummins so it should live!:-laf
