Why no truck production?

I'm not sure where to post this but this is the only category I really check, so here goes. What is the deal with the full size truck production stopping for January? I don't subcribe to the Wall Street Journal so I can only read the first couple paragraphs. Just wondering what the deal is.

The reason is that full-size truck sales have gone down something like eight percent over the last quarter, and the manufacturers don't want to be stuck with a lot of vehicles they can't sell...

Most trucking companies stocked up on the 06 models, and the largest ones bought a handful of 07's for evaluation. There are problems with them, so why buy more, when you can rebuild the older ones?
