Here I am

Why not lower the rear instead of leveling the front with coil spacers?

I mentioned this to Figgy last Friday night when he mentioned that he wanted to level his wife's (Turbodiva) truck...

Has anyone done this? Seems like a pretty feasible idea, no? Could it be as simple as shaving some material off the lift blocks?

Thanks Jared... I knew somebody must have done this. I think it's pretty cool that Dodge has a TSB on it...

This would be more for cosmetic appeal than actual functionality of Turbodiva's truck.

Figgy, are you reading this?

i did that on my 04... relocated the rear spacers from bottom of spring pack to top of spring pack. dropped it ±1". i'd like to go a little lower still [another inch both ends] but the front won't be as cheap to do as the rear and there isn't much room between the front axle and the bumpstops.

Most guys are looking to clear bigger tires up front, and to level the truck. If you lowered the back your tire selection would still be limited.

I have done the same on my truck as Nick,an really like the mod. Although I did like the rear lifted, but was afraid to lift front end due to the fact it tracks so good with out any death wobble, tested at 95 mph an was running out of road. Thanks to Matt400 for his info an pics an also klenger for the follow up pics an info. This mod is right in my price range "cheap".

I lowered the rear by moving the spacer. I was happy with the results on the highway, however this kill the suspension travel and is a very limiting factor offroad. My truck now bottoms out very easily and I would not recommend this to anyone that may need the suspension travel for offroad use, the problem becomes serious with a load.

I would have lowered the rear but in order for the MagHytek to clear the Linstadt (or a Luke's Link) tracbar, the front had to go up 3/4" minimum. Since I've raised the front 2", the ride is smoother because it doesn't bottom out anymore. I haven't installed the taller bump stops (or the cover) yet but they are getting closer to the top of the list...
