On my '98 truck, I have checked all joints for leaks and looked at all the rubbers. New Fleetgaurd paper Air filter and is sealed tight. But on full throttle I can only get 14 lbs. STOCK TRUCK!... I thought these trucks were doing better than that? Also I am getting up to around 1180* on my Pyro. I realize that no air equals hot temps, but Why can I not get any more boost than that?

Could just be a calabration issue with your boost gauge. You are not that far off from the 17psi most people report. A kink in the tube going to the boots gauge could do it. I went from 17psi to 19 psi when I deleted the muffler. :)

What kind of load is the engine under? If you don't have a sufficient load to make the engine work, you might not reach max boost. I rarely see over 14 unless I am pulling a hill, towing or something that makes the engine need and produce boost.

It is under no load except for a steep incline at WOT. I am just used to my '92 with about 18 lbs. empty. I have thought about clamping the wastegate shut, maybe this is a good time to do it huh? Thank you though, I just thought it would build more. :( Time to BOMB!!:D

You should be able to make 18 PSI or so on flat ground empty. 14 is not normal. Your EGT however is right in line, if you had full fueling at 14 PSI you would be over 1200 in a hurry.

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Checked the fuel pressure?

Could just be the boost gauge is off, what is the reading cruising flat ground at 60 or so? Idle reading? 1180 is about right for 14 PSI and hard acceleration, but it is also about right for 18-19 PSI and WOT. Hard to say without more info if there is a boost problem or not.
