Why TDR/Diesel Guys are great

I posted a while back looking for a digital handheld tach.

Not wanting to spend big money on an item that would sit most of the time, the cheapest I found was $80.



illflem had bought one for $35 on special, and wanted to know if I wanted to borrow his instead of spending the big money.

Of course I said sure, and off it came from west to east.



This is funny, because some of my greatest most colorful, er, discussions, have been with illflem!

As far as I know, noone has been burned on the dowel pin kits, or the 4" hole saw.

LOL, I'll ship it back next week.



If anyone cares, on a 766 IH, the 1000rpm pto is turning 540 just a smidge under 1200 rpm on the tractor tach.

You're welcome Gene. Did you figure out what the deal is with the two switches on top? I couldn't see that they did anything, maybe that's why it was on sale.

Is that all you need Papa? I could use a few thousand and I know a lot of you guys have got it to spare. Look at the stuff you spend money on.



I find it truely amazing how the brotherhood works in this forum. I'd like to think that we're all cut from the same mould, but that would be stretching it a little, since I'm not the Charlie Brown type that Gene seems to be.

This brotherhood is great,isn't it. I've never seen another group that would let a person they just met take a wrench or big drill bit to their pride and joy. I've sent items to guys knowing they're good on their word for pay or return,and I've opened my (small) home to others and others have opened their homes to me. And some of the cooking their wives makes is great!
