Why we bought the Cummins

This is the real reason we bought the mighty Cummins. 9,200 pounds empty. I towed it to Elkhart and back this week for some warrantee work and it towed real nice. I just hope they don't stripe the trailer like they did the truck. Yuck.
This one is powered by the SO. With multiple drivers I figured the drive train would probably last longer. Besides, I couldn't see dinging the taxpayers for the extra performance when the SO was quite adequate.
The trailer is empty at the moment but will be loaded with equipment for multiple casualty incidents. The front houses an office like area that will serve as a command post and is air conditioned and heated. A 7000 watt generator makes it self sufficient. The back door comes down into a loading ramp.
