SE Wisconsin roundup weekend selection

Boscobel Bomb Party for a weekend in Sept. Which weekend is up to those that might attend. Please vote which weekend you can make it and the weekend with the most votes will be it. The deadline for voting will be August 16th. This should give everybody enough time to plan accordingly. Any questions PM me.

Some local info...

We have a small local (cheap) motel within walking distance(across the street) from our shop. There is also a quaint little RV park that borders the shop. We have enough land at our shop to accommodate those that want to do the tent thing. This also borders the RV park. The RV park does have electric, but I am not sure about water. There is a New Super 8 just down the street with an indoor pool. We have some fast food joints and three nice cafes with excellent food for those that like a home cooked meal or a good breakfast. As far as shopping goes, we really don't have any neat little shops that the wives might like, but they are welcome to come along just the same.

Our shop is big enough for one... maybe one and a half, and probably six or seven (or more) on the gravel, and maybe a hundred in the grass... you get the idea. We'll make room.

I imagine we could cook out, like grill some hamburgers, brats potato salad, macaroni, Nicks chili, etc. I can get a couple of grills/ picnic tables and we have a fridge at the shop already. Or, we could just go eat somewhere... whatever. Bring your own beer or booze, or you can get it when you get to town. I'll see if I can get a tank for ice, pop and water.

As far as tools go, I have a couple of welders, (stick and mig). A torch, small drill press, grinders, saws etc. and a fairly decent set of hand tools, and other specialty tools. I could get a small plasma arc and a hydraulic press if needed, but I have to know ahead of time. As far as fluid changes go, let me know and I will make provisions to accommodate you, so you wont have to take it back with you.

After you vote on the weekend, post so I kinda have a clue how many are gonna make it (I realize we wont have a very accurate count till sometime after the 16th). Let me know what you guys want to do for food, any tools you might need, and when you plan on showing up, and how long you want to stay. We'll plan on Sat and/or Sun. (I'll be on second shift, so I wont be around that Friday night before, until after 9pm or so. )

I'll get the phone numbers for the Hotel/ motel/ camp ground up by this weekend.

Any questions or if you need something, PM me.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Jim

We'll be on vacation the 2nd and 3rd week of Sept.

We'll be on vacation the 2nd and 3rd week of Sept. , but should be back on the 20th. I guess either weekend would work for us, but maybe the 27th&28th would be better (might be suffering from camping burnout the previous weekend:) )

Jim,

I'm not voting yet - I'll have to see what my work schedule looks like when it gets closer. It sounds like you have a good event coming together. I hope I can make it. Either way, I'll do the email thing once the date is set.

Dave

I could make it on the 27th. Will be a saturday only thing for me. Keep me posted. Tried to vote and it said no. I hate that.

Drive-By Bob

My pole is broke?

This could be catastrophic! I'll count your post as a vote Bob.

If the poll doesnt work, just leave you vote in your post.

**However, if there is a big enough intrest in both dates, we'll do both. I dont have anything going on anyways. **

Hey Jim, I sure would like to show up but it will likely be a few days at most before the event when I know if I will be around or not. I did not vote and won't, it isn't fair to vote if I can't commit. I should go just so John does not have to putter over there and back grandpa style with some of the other guys around here, give him someone to ROLL down the road with ... ...

Thats fine Howie. I know were gonna have some that just show up... it really wont matter. I just kinda wanted a rough idea.

After Fireman Dave saw my pulling video, he said I need these, so...

heres my next project... :D :D :D

BTW Thanks Howie for resizing the pic for me.

AmenOo. Oo. Aron(Amianthus) is also a good guy to convoy with. We made good time going to and from Muncie last year.

Yeah, I don't like to spend my ENTIRE life in the slow lane. I think John coulda put the hurtin' on me quick like. He's at 2100 RPM at 70 mph. Cruise speed if you will. While I am at 2600 RPM at 70 mph. Woof!

Can you imagine how agonizing it would be to convoy with Fireman "I will never tow in OD" Dave if he had my 4. 10 gears? I think he'd just be getting home from Muncie about now. :D

Milwaukee Bombvoy

Sounds like a Milwaukee bombvoy will be needed for this one. Count me in just let me know where and when. I ll bring snacks and coldies or whatevers needed.

BOMB! on Oo. :D :D :D :D :D

I didn't know that "Slow Moving Vehicle" signs were made that large. HA! ;):p:D

I'll bring my timing rig, injector puller, gauge tap, torque wrenches, and any other things you guys might think we'd need. If you think of something, let me know. If anyone needs parts, don't hesitate to give me a holler.

I found out the family reunion is in Oct. so I can make it either weekend. Just trying to decide if I should pull the 5'er or stay in a motel... . other half will be in Hawaii during those weekends:rolleyes:

Jim, If you're going to put those bright stacks on your truck, what will you do with the old, dented, and rusty exhaust that's on the truck? I'd be willing to take it off your hands so you don't have it lying around the garage to trip over. I remember you saying you don't like having useless junk parts around the house.

Actually, I think it was his wife that said that. Which makes me wonder how he still gets to stay at his place. :p;):D
