Northern Palms

1957 English Ford Thames Panel Truck model 100E, one of less than a dozen left in the US.

I have about 90% of everything I need to restore it to original status, it will be my retirement project starting in about a year and a half.

Right now I am still rounding up the last of the parts.

THE FORD GUY Oo. Oo. Oo.

!965 Chevy Impala SS, 396 4-speed, numbers matching car. In the process of frame off restoration (attemping it myself). Have owned this car since 1978,driven daily for the first 10 years.

A-990

no digital camera here, but it's a 60k 1 owner sedan, radio del, manual everything,w/4 dogdishes, deviations are coro 500 int, indy single 4 intake,DANA, and stage 5 heads, after getting my block from mopar I didn't buy their heads, has to be the poorest machining Iv'e seen, I'm going to have to blueprint the entire block ie water, fuel, oil pump locations, dist&trans, everything,Cummins in canada does the work, I wish we had a Dart or World alternative like the other guys but it's resto or top fuel for us.

If you are looking to do an accurate clone of the 1965 A-990 PM with what you need as I have lots of contacts throughout the country that all they do is MOPAR, like myself.

And we do have other alternatives you must not be looking in the right spots, or you got scared of pricing, but remember your trying to clone a factory delivered purpose built race car, parts aint cheap, but you can do it wisely and it has been done before.

What block are you talking about?

There was a casting problem with the last batch of mega blocks, both wedge's and Hemi's and they had to change the casting core molds that led to a redesign of the said core molds- which is why there was a shortage and problem getting new blocks. They seem to have corrected the problems and have slowly started to trickle out the "new" new stuff. That Indy Cylinder Head intake is in fact a mighty fine piece , but you should shelve it for the correct cross-ram. The Stage 5 head you mention is the aftermarket head from Stage 5 Engineering? Good stuff there. . . . . .

Wow, some nice cars out there...

I've currently got...

1) 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible. 361 big block, auto, virtually no options except back up lights and am radio. It will eventually be the transplant recipient of a nice fuel injected Hemi. Someday, when finances allow.

2) 1968 Plymouth VIP. Triple black 2 door Fast Top. HP 440, 4 speed manual trans with Inland shifter, no console. And factory AC. Yes, it was a special order, and I'm aware that these options were not available together. So it's probably a one of one. 69k original miles. Three broadcast sheets, and awaiting resoration. Look for it in a couple magazines this coming year. And it goes like a scalded cat...

3) 1969 Dodge Monaco 4dr. HP 440, auto. Almost no options except power steering and brakes (drum), Rallye suspension. Sort of a sleeper Highway Patrol car. 33k original miles. Will get a disc brake swap for the fronts, and be a frequent (if not daily) driver.

4) 1971 Plymouth Fury III, 4dr. White family sedan, 383. Sitting in the desert awaiting retrieval from a compound... Won in a poker game.

That lincoln looks like a good candidate for a CTD swap.

As much as I love the CTD, there is no way I would alter that lincoln from stock. Now maybe if I found one that was in bad shape I would consider it, but not this one. Besides, its a unibody (no frame) and I think it would be hellish to get a CTD to stay in the car.

just kidding on the swap, I read somewhere once that those lincolns were the biggest unibodys ever made(short of a maxivan I guess) ,wild styling for sure saw one that had a trunk medallion that boasted traction lok!

I love cars! That lincoln is cool.

I have a 53 ford victoria( mustang II front end, Blown SBC, wheel based stretched 6"
64 Dodge 2 door ht with a blown 426 hemi
68 Charger with a 440 auto.
Had plans for a 66 Satilite with a 440 but the funds went to a gift for the wife for Christmas.

Naw! Don't do that! You'll ruin the value. . . . I'll bet that Lincoln floats on the highway at speed. I remember my buddies '73 New Yorker 4dr. 440. on the highway one day floating along at 90mph, and we come up on this Audi on a 2 lane highway, so here we are floating along with the front bumpers even and I'm looking thru the back window of this Audi... Just acres of sheetmetal on that New Yorker:-laf ..... The more you got into the pedal the easier the land barge drove.....
My buddie moved away and couldn't take the car with him so he gave it to me. I pulled that 440, the trans, the 3rd member and axles. Sent the rest to the junkyard. Tried to get that cool telescoping steering column, but didnt have enough time:{ ... .....

My neighbor has a 20-30's something dodge sedan he brought home one day he bought for $1200. 00 He had to fix a broken carb bowl and now it runs. He drove it a couple times then parked it under a tarp type garage. I would love to have it. Not sure about the wooden spoke wheels but its an collector car, not a hot rod.

Our Lincoln has the traction lock rear end, I forget the exact wording, but its something like Power Lock or trubo rear end lock. It also has a real cool breaking feature that works some times. You drive up a hill and stop in gear and it holds you in place with out applying the breaks. It only works really good with the vaccume system is working and that is not very often. Ever have vaccum operated windshield wipers??

I only fool w/mopars and the oldest was a 38 dodge brothers coupe but it had electric wipers, my Dodge tractor has air wipers where they don't work till air press builds, Iv'e ridden in some old Chevy's that have vac. wipers where on a hill in the rain they won't hardly work, and Iv'e owned a few old Imperials that had overly complex space age features that like your lincoln or a old MK2 would be a real labor of love to restore which I assume is why some of those old luxury liners get alot of attention at car shows.

my first 2 vehicles are German and the

other 2 are German also, one is restored the other is in progress of.

This is my dads list.

'32 Model 'A' 5 window, his dad bought it off the show room floor, got neglected for 20 years and is not in perfect condition.
Not to be picky, but Henry`s wonderful Lady, the Model A, was model years 1928 thru 1931. A 1932 would be a Model B. I had this beaten into my head as the child of a Fordaholic. Nice car, with a family history. It don`t get better than that. DK.
