Does anyone know of a source where I can buy 16x8 dually wheels? Does one have to get those custom built or what? I want to mount 315/75/16 tires on my 2002 ram next fall. #ad

Won't tires that size rub between the dualls? 315/75/16 are pretty wide tires for a dually.

Davey. . there is a place in Stockton, Calif. called of all things Stockton Wheel that can make you anything you want. . they have been around for over 50 years and can do anything that can be done to wheels. . they also can repair bad rims as well as alum. or mag rims. . their workmanship is great !!

Davey, 315 will rub! I went to 275 Coopers. I need to keep 75psi in them if I tow anything or they WILL rub.

Not answering your question, but I'm on a similar quest... ...
I want to go with bigger (but not necessarily wider profile) tires, To keep the sidewalls from rubbing (and igniting #ad
) you can use spacers. But I've been told this is a very bad idea, sooooo
There's a shop in Spokane that will increase the offset in two rims(approx 3/4 inch) for $75 per rim.
They suggest running the modified rims on the outside. I've seen a couple trucks with this done and running oversized tires. Looks great, but I'm on the fence about two oddball rims. #ad

PS I'll be watching the thread. Thanx.

BTW guys this place is very well known in the racing and street rod circles, also the 4x4 guys. . as they do it all

Papa Joe. . you didn't say what size you have now or what you want to go to. . but you might want to look at the XPS series of tires from Michlen. .commercial grade with very tough side walls that don't flex. . stock duals of the 215's can go to the 235's with no fear of air gap or side wall clearance. . been there done that !

Regarding the use of spacers. The pipeline outfit that I work for has f350 crewcabs which they take the boxes off in favor of decks and use the alum spacers for mounting duals. These trucks are used "very" hard and have seen some enormous loads. This makes me confident in the use of spacers.
