Competition Dueling Dodges!

I know a 3500 is heavier than a 2500... . But by how much?? Am trying to compare some drag strip results with a friend of mines truck. His is an 01 3500 QC SLT+ and mine is a 99 2500 QC SB SLT. Both trucks are 2wd 5 speeds. His is either ALOT heavier than mine or my truck runs damn good for just having an EZ box in it. We are both expierienced(sp lol) Gear slammers... the smoke pedal never leaves the floor. Thanks for any Input!

Weight

There is a thread started in the Towing/Hauling forum about wieghts, it may be worth following for a while.

FWIW, I got mine down to nearly empty, took EVERYTHING out and got a weight of 6,000 lbs. I needed an absolute minimum weight for a government move. Now it has a cap, bed mat, bg box full of stuff, etc. ... . I got weighed after a fill up and I was 7,740. That's how much it weighs just running around town.

I am going to rewiegh soon. Changed tire/wheel setup and added bars and winch mount.

My 97 3500 2WD weighs right @ 6800 Lb with 3/4 tank fuel. That is a consisatant weight from a load scale (3 times) when I was hauling sand.

We were discussing this Saturday at STP in Atlanta. I'm 6840 with a tool box. A 3500 that was there was 7200 with a tool box. So probably figure roughly 400 lbs.

Thats about what I figured

Thats not to bad really. Reason i was asking was my friends truck ran a 16. 17 with the new blue chip premium box. Mine went a 16. 20 with an EZ box only. So 400=roughly . 4 in the quarter mile. Not to bad really, I don't think his clutch is hanging in 100% either.
