Noticed a clicking sound like I have a rock in my tire when I make a right turn. It comes from the LF tire which makes sense, but there is NO rock in my tire so I'm stumped on what it could be.

any ideas?

In addition to my Y2K Turbo Diesel, I have a 95 Dodge Ram 4X4 and a 94 Jeep Wrangler. On both the 95 Ram and Jeep I have to replace the front wheel joints about every 30,000 miles. All these vehicles have the same type of front ends. The noise you describe sounds like one of the types of noise the front joint makes when going bad. You can get a big screwdriver into the joint area to fles it a bit to determine if its bad. Good Luck.

I am prone to agree with....

front wheel joints. These joints see the most angularity on the rig. Seal failure (yes/no) leads to lube failure, leads to joint failure. So what can be applied to the seals (I am thinking some sort of aerosol) on a regular (oil change) basis??? Some kind of silicone???

Maybe I am wrong about the nature of their failure.

front brakes

i had the same problem...

click, click, click when turning. first the right, then the left. changed the front brakes(had metallic)to regular napa pads and no more click!
