Clutch Install in Louisiana?

Do I need a new clutch? (pictures included)

Just installed an edge/attitude. I am running a K&N filter and intake. When I accellerate hard and let off the gas there is a wierd noise comming from the turbo almost sounds like a grinding noise but not really. When i set the edge to 0 its still does it. My k&n has outer wears and my silencer ring is removed from the turbo. Before the install of the edge the truck never did this. Is this what they call turbo bark? The truck has plenty of power and runs great but that sound after letting off of a hard pull has me concerned. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

not sure. Its definatly comming from the turbo. It never did this before the edge /att install and whats strange is when the edge is set to 0 it still does it. I put the outter wears on the filter the same time i did the edge install. Maybe I should remove that and test again???

I think it's turbo bark. Our truck does it too if you push the pedal hard, then let out of it all of a sudden. It's probably more noticeable now because you installed the intake, you can just hear the turbo more easily. From what I have heard, it is not very good for the turbo, as it decelerates its rotation real quickly, something to that extent. There are a lot of threads on it if you do a search, but most people have just said to take it easy and be careful of how you quickly let off the throttle. Hope that helps.

Your probably right. Strange the K&n filter has been on the truck for 3 months and never did it. Ill recheck everything just to make sure I didnt foul something up.

Are you making more boost with the edge than before? think it's boost related ( the sled pullers let off the throttle fast but then burp the throttle a few times to prevent spooling down to quickly. i have heard it was bad as the turbo is building pressure one side of the turbo (compressor i think) tries to stop due to the pressure and the other side is still traveling it is hard on the pieces that connect the two. hope this helps.

Thanks for the help guys. I rechecked everything and all seems fine.

The attitude monitor is awsome. It records max boost, max rpms, max slip, lockup, intercooler temp, max speed, engine temp and more. Very impressed with this product and the extra ponies doesnt hurt either. Whats next guys exhaust? turbo? transmission? injectors? someone steer me the right direction thanks.

Exhaust, transmission, turbo, injectors, another turbo, bigger injectors, more fueling from the computer... in that order, you get the hint.
