Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Wierd noise after truck is plugged in.

When I go to start my truck after it has been plugged in. I can hear water sloshing around for a couple secounds. It does clear up and runs fine after that. Its always been this way since I've had this truck. I have absolutely no loss of antifreeze. No oil in the antifreeze. System has been pressure tested. That passed o. k. no leaks.

The block heater is always a quiet when plugged in. Personally seams weak to me. Alsmost wonder if the block heater lets in air or something.

I did get a new block heater. Just have yet to install it.

I need ideas and suggestion?

Dont worry , its just the anti freeze re circulating through the heater core if it has been sitting for a while mine does it once in a while too.

Mine does the same thing when I use the block heater. I think the element from the block heater causes tiny air bubbles (kind of like when you boil a pot of water) and maybe due to the location of the block heater in relation to water passages. The tiny bubbles find their way to the heater core (high spot in the system) and some of the coolant in the heater core gets displaced by the air bubbles. When you fire up the truck the coolant starts circulating and as the coolant makes its way to the heater core, you hear the slooshing sounds. Just my theory of what happens, but in any case the sounds you hear are normal.

Very Normal I am on my second ram since 93 and about 650K miles total had the noise you describe and never any problem.
