5th Wheel Weather Cover

Hello,

I have an enclosed cargo trailer that measures 32ft. on the floor, I will be hauling cars for hire, "my question" I will not know what make/model of vehicles I will be hauling until they are posted on the internet, is there some way I can figure out the standard length of the vehicle's to make sure I do not drive 120 miles out of my way to find out they will not fit in a 32ft. space -- I am pretty sure I can haul one full size and one economy car OK -- not very confident on 2 full size cars -- any ideas.

Is there a website with vehicle specifications

any commercial car haulers out there with advice

My 1967 Dodge Coronet is just over 17' This is about average for a Mopar "b" body car, hope this helps. I doubt you'd get 2 "muscle cars" in a 32' trailer because you need room for your body in front of the front car to strap it down.

Seems like you and a helper could spend a few hours in a big parking lot and build up a data base pretty easy. Also pretty good way to get to know the lot security folks pretty well.

Standard Catalog of American Cars

I have a telephone sized book called the standard catalog of american cars. It gives all of the relevant data, including lenght and weight. I got it about 10 years ago and I seem to think it was about 20 bucks then. I haven't been in a book store in years, so I don't know if its still sold, but you could probably get a new or used copy on Amazon.com. I haven't unpacked it since the last move, but if you can't find it and want the ISBN number let me know.
