Was installing a new lift pump last night and while pulling off the drain hose, part of the WIF valve broke and stayed with hose. Completed pump install, prefilter screen replacemnt (after 200K miles) and install filter and WIF. It leaked first time but got it to seal enough to drive.

Called two local Cummins Truck shops and both could get WIF sensor but not on hand. Their price was $15 - 16. Look up Genos Garage and it was $16.

I want to get this replace ASAP so call my local Dodge Dealership whom I bought my truck from (new in 96) and spend several thousand dollars in parts and repairs over the years (they know me), to get a price. Yes they have it in hand and the price was $44. 90. "So what is my price?"... . "$44. 90. You can keep your overpriced WIF!

This is one of many parts I have found that or over priced at Dodge. This WIF valve is probable made by one vendor for Fleetgard and provided to Dodge, Cummins and anyone else. You would think Dodge being a big Customer would get a good price. Thanks for passing it on Dodge!

JJW,

You are right that most parts are overpriced at the dealer. I just left Grand Forks for Oklahoma. Have you tried North Central Cummins in GF? They always had the parts I needed, and if not, got them real fast for me. Hope this may help...
