wife pulls up to pump.

PSD: Noisey truck

wife: I asked my husband to straight pipe it.

PSD: sounds like a dam dodge, all noise & no power

wife: oh no, he turned the pump up and I have plenty of power

PSD: chip?

wife: No, it's a 12 valve with a mechanical pump, 130,000+ miles, (PSD: Eyes widen), and I still get 22MPG (PSD: mouth drops open)

wife continues: My husband has a 24V and his runs like a scalded dog.

PSD: I have a chip in mine and my MPG went up 5 MPG.

wife: Oh. I wouldnt trade my 12V CUMMINS for ANYTHING.

PSD: see you later

My ex is a PSD girl (she's young, doesn't know squat about diesels, and only repeats what daddy says about their '97). When I put my gauges in she looked at me like I was stupid and asked why I wasted my money, because they have a 60 horse chip in theirs with stock exhaust and no towing. Oh and after having the truck since new, she's just now learning how to drive the stick. Women . Anyway, the new girl I'm seeing can row the gears quite nicely and would have bought a Dodge if it would have had 4 full doors. Instead sh'es got an '02 PSD with a Hypertech programmer, but she likes my truck too. She's chipped hers and I'm hoping to get my injectors or Edge box soon to show her up. Oo. The thing is, she defends my truck to my folks cause they cry about how loud it is too. Gotta love those country gals!

My ex hated all the money I spent on the truck. She thought the truck meant more than her... . that's why she's the ex.



A girl that I might start seeing LOVE'S my truck, LOVE'S truck pulls, LOVE'S DIESEL'S!, and to top it all off SHE wants me to put stacks back on my truck! :--) Oo.



Only prob is she lives two states away!:{

I get harassed by a psd owner about once a week. Not the same one mind you. I like diesels. And anyman running #2 is a brother of mine. So I strike up conversations. Some are so obtuse they think that 8s are the only way. Ive heard some dumb stuff. Ran into a few unhappy owners. Most for their part love their trucks just as much as we do. You couldnt give most of us a PSD just like most of them wouldnt take a cummins. Boy did that sound stupid. I dont think any reasonable, self respecting man would turn down a Cummins.

I don't know if I should say this or not, oh well here goes, a friend of mine that has always bought fords (that was the part) went and bought a new truck a while back, it was a single rear wheel F-350 with a powerstroke crew cab loaded right to the gills. Well, there he is specing the truck out and the salesman says, "jees, that a pretty heavy duty truck your specing out, what ya gonna haul with it?" My friend looks at him just a s serious as could be and says, "Just my lunch box!" I thought it was hilarious.
