5sp shift problem

WHOOHOO...!!!!!!!

Champane Flight-
Haven't seen a woman yet that could get more pi$$ed off than me or pout longer. The point is, make sure you can outlast her. If she gets pi$$ed off or pouts, just do it longer than she does. If she does this about you correcting her about the clutch, do it longer because she won't listen to you. Hell, give her some of her own medicine. I've been through two wives, the second one I married twice. I think I've seen all the pi$$ed off and pouting in the whole friggin world. The only reason they do this is because we let them get away with it. It's like training a bird dog, if you let them get away with chasing a rabbit one day, the next day you hunt and they see one, they're going to chase it. AM I GETTING THROUGH TO YOU??? I taught mine to drive a standard transmission years ago and while I was teaching her I taught her to keep her d**m foot off the clutch unless she was shifting. If you want to put up with the pouting, etc. , just get ready to replace the throwout bearing, etc. If you don't, then do what you should and break her from riding the clutch. Now that I've got all that off my chest I feel better. Probably didn't help your problem, but, at least, I feel better.

Tell her when she pulls her foot off the clutch, is when you'll pull your foot out... ... . uh oh. . here comes my wife!! #ad

WOW!

More sage advice i have never seen given to a fellow member. Whats the matter with you Dodge boys, you dont like the guy or something. A little friendly advice from
Kondolay's # 1 wife of 21 years, it will cost you a lot less to change the clutch than the wife, and then you would also get the added bonus of not losing the essentials i believe is what you called it. (lol)

Shanti Kondolay

OK, I give. Shanti is right. Clutches are much less expensive to change than wives. I did some thinking about clutch changes in the distant pass when I was young and was driving muscle cars and hard on clutches, then compared that experience and cost to changing wives and wife changes are much more expensive and traumatic. I think about changing this one for a clutch and I had rather she stay. (this one's a keeper!) Still, I miss my old bird dog who always did what I told her to and loved me even when I scolded her and was in a bad mood. Maybe it's a good thing that I don't hunt anymore and am getting easier to get along with in my advanced years. (huh?) Additionally, this one doesn't give me a raft of $h*t about the toys I want to buy. Oh $h*t, I think I love her a lot and may buy her some flowers next week? Champane, tell her to keep the foot of the #@&^ clutch, then send her some flowers and tell her how much you love her program. On second thought, don't take any of this advice on this thread and play it by ear and do what works for you because every woman I have ever been associated with is a unique person and requires treatment appropriate to her personality. I sign off wishing you the best of luck and hope that the path you choose works for you!

. . Well what happened did you get through to her.
It is true a clutch is cheaper to replace than a new wife.
Some women just love it when the husband takes a firm stand. As long as its reasonable and fair.
Did you get the prices on the replacements that I reccomended if so how much $$$ will be involved?
The whole world is at a stand still right now so let us know what ever happened.
Let her know who wears the pants in the house

She said and I quote"You are a pain in the a$$,but I will try to change my habit". Have to add that she is one he11 of a cook and does take good care of essentials.
I am commited(or should be commited) to replacing clutch in about 30000 more miles. Will go with Mcleod, unless something better comes along. Of course will have to do a little bombing before that. (Of course)

OK, as a driving instructor (I teach racing and high-performance driving schools in the eastern US) let me give you a couple teaching tools... just as her right hand should only touch the gearlever to shift, so should her foot only touch the clutch pedal to shift. Have her "tie" an invisible string between her left ankle and right wrist: when her hand leaves the wheel for the gearknob, her foot comes off the floor for the pedal; and back the other way... her left ankle should "pull" her hand back off the gearlever. Now, here's a free-bee for all of you: when driving down the road, your hands should be at the 4 and 8 o'clock positions on the wheel, for a few reasons: if your hands are high on the wheel and you hit a bump, the bouncing weight of your arms will cause your truck to 'wander' (eats fuel!),#2 should something hit the windshield and makes you jerk back in suprise, your shoulders will cause you to change lanes! and #3, if your hand is just hanging at 12 o'clock position, and you hit a pot-hole or something to make the airbag deploy, your fore-arm will hit you in the face at just over 300mph (the speed of the bag). By grasping the wheel low instead of at the 10 and 2 like you were shown in school, every input you make is a deliberate one, not a reaction. Drive safely! #ad

Champ, Their all sisters! You, or any male, is NEVER right let alone the "winner". Besides, she will remember it a lot L O N G E R than you! If it were someone else telling her she MAY listen!

Kiss and make up!
