I was sitting at the dinner table with my family, and my wife. And out of the blue, tells me to order a new turbo for xmas.

So with my mods in my sig, what do you guys think would be the turbo for me. I will modify cp3 soon and get new injectors (Don M's). And that will be it for mod's:-laf :-laf

Dang your lucky. I told my wife I needed a clutch and she says, "how much".

Yeah, that's as far as we got. It will have to be a repair not an upgrade:-laf

though I like my 66mm turbo (HTT) - its a bit of a dyno king... I mean its OK on the street, but the 62mm I could have WAY more fun with (and later add a b2 on bottom of the 62mm)

My vote is a 62/14 HTT

tomeygun,

That's what I'm thinking, is a 62, because some say the 66 is laggy. Is it(66) laggy because of insufficient mods, or just laggy because of it's size? Plus the 62 can eventually be twins. I doubt I'll get twins, but it is possible.

Well my truck sounds close to yours I use mine daily

(and than sum) as you can tell by the mileage I had a 62/13ss had exaust leak problems now have a 62/14 so far so good dont really notice lag unless I lug it(went with the 13 because I was afraid of the lag towing) if I had it to do over I would go with the 62/14 it tows very well my other worry was low boost code has not thrown it yet approx 1kmiles if its a daily driver my vote is a 62/14 Randy Source automotive is #1 503 654 9004 you will not find better customer service anywhere period!!!!

mainly due to size... I have quite enough fuel for the turbo, it just takes till about 1800+ to get rolling, at 2000 rpm she really waking up

Until that RPM, its BLLLAAACCKKKKKKK smoke. ;)

You gotta good wife, My wife told me I would need to cut back on my spending, that I couldn't buy any more truck parts or beer. Then the other day I came across a reciept for $65. 00 worth of cosmetics. She told me she needed that stuff to look pretty for me. I told her that's what the beer was for... ... I don't think she's coming back.

My vote would be for an Industrial Injection SPS62, NOT THE SILVER62, especially if you are thinking about compounds later.

I think the artic air turbos are the best way to go for anyone looking for a performance single and not all out twins... even though these twins have made over 1000HP!! Why not just spend the extra thousand now and get faster spool up and and never worry about your pyrometer! If you cant afford the extra grand right now then sit on it for 6 months till you can... you will never regret it!

Joe Donnelly, do you think that HTT is a better turbo than Industrial Injection turbos. I am looking for a turbo for my truck very soon. I was planing on a super 62/14 or silver62/14.

That is why I stay Un-Married:)

No need to ask anyone for permission...

I'd have to agree with JJpage and Rmalone A ps62 or sps62 would be a great turbo, plus if you are thinking of twins down the road you can get a k31 and have a sweet pair of towing twins
