Well as always dad takes a back seat to the family. Just got my contacts and plunger from Larry B (thanks larry) and fixed the starter (130K on contacts paper thin). Go for a test ride to just check everything out. Fill it up and park it at home. Family comes home and loads MY truck up with stuff and heads out. I ask why she doesn't take her truck (99 2500 v10 4x4) says brakes are chattering and it needs a oil change, I will call you from FL. WE LIVE IN MO> Guess i get to put rotors and calipers on her truck. We will see if it can pull the horse trailer as well (HA). Just had to vent.

Where is she at in Florida. I might be able to round up a few guys and re-claim your truck. Covert funds ought to cover the Tundra rental :-laf and I figure you get your truck back by Sunday morning at the latest.

Know what you mean. Went this week to trade in my astrojunk for a new 2500. Had already talked to the dealer. A nice white basic 6 speed. Just the way I like them. No frills all go. Made the mistake of taking the boss. Came home with a Durango. Now my daughter is P Oed. She wanted my 5 speed. Thought she was going to cry. The boss said you wanted another truck. My daughter told her " What's wrong with 3 trucks" Now ain't no body happy except the boss. Guess that not so bad though.

the "boss" opened the $500 discount flier from Dodge and calmly asked "when you gonna get one". I'm sure she's a keeper!

the only contention is 6 speed vs. the auto. "But honey, I can't drive a straight stick", "oh honey, you'll learn, I'll teach you" (oh yea, sure I will)!

the only hope is that I want and need the HO to pull her dream 5'er and I can't get the HO without the 6 speed.

Well... my boss loves the Cummins diesel but she wanted something to haul the kids in. The Durango was to small for her ( 5'7" 118lbs) so we found a 2000 PSD EXCURSION, what sucks is that it will out run my Cummins. It has been chipped up to 300hp and 660ftlbs, a K&N air filter a 3. 5" down pipe and 5" from the downpipe back, and a bigger intercooler. I will have to "tune" the cummins a little !! She still can't pull the 20' gooseneck trailer though

My Boss has her own and won't let me drive it. On the rare occasion I do get to drive she thinks I'm trashing it by giving it the go pedal. Silly woman.



She did let me put an EZ on. Pretty adamant about injectors though. Guess I'll have to wait till shes gone with some friends one day and sneak em in. Gee I don't know honey, maybe it finally broke in.

boss's truck

You guys have it pretty bad, but mine just keeps making bigger, more expensive plans for our truck. After we put the flatbed and stacks on the first question was " now how do we get smoke to come out?" a call to Piers had injectors on the way. Then it smoked but ran too hot to pull the camper. She says "call Piers, he has a good hx40 that should keep it cooler". So as every smart man does, I took her advice. still runs hot with the camper she says, "doesn't Piers port heads we can save and get that done". After that i decided to buy her a ring and keep her around. this all started over a beer and the coment "diesel, they are noisey and slow and stink"
