Wifes car ripped off and crashed

Dirtbags! Wife came home the other day from work with her friend and said her car was gone. She parks at a park-n-ride and commutes to the city every day and I guess it was our unlucky day. No car, not even broken glass on the ground. Two days later we got a call from a PD officer asking us if we let anyone drive our car and that he had found it. Unfortunately, it was wrapped around a pole but they had the guy in custody. I'm pretty sure it's totalled but we'll see what the ins company says.



Darn thing is that I took good care of that car and won't be able to buy one that I will be as confident of for the $ the insurance company will likely give us. I can throw out the idea of investing some savings this year!



I called the Police Department and asked them if there was any way that they could turn the dirtbag over to me and they laughed. I wan't my money out of that idiot!

I have been careful where I park my truck lately because vehicle thefts have exploded to California-like proportions in this area lately. It started off with a lot of breakins and now lots of cars have been disappearing. They are not sure why but it looks like a professional operation. With the large Hispanic pop here it could be a pipeline to supply vehicles/parts to Mexico.

I have a remedy for crimes committed by illegals and migrant workers.



If you are convicted of a felony, you will be deported as will your hosting family and their pets. They will loose U. S. visitation rights for a 10 yr period at which time they can re-apply for a Visa.



I don't think we as Americans can continue to turn our cheeks to this issue for ever. Our laws mean nothing to people who don't give a rats A$$ about this country or the history of it's greatness. They are here for the handouts, free medical, jobs and establishing a foothold through citizenship to expand their family. The more mouths to feed mean more welfare money from the Government.

I used to be very Liberal in this regard until I moved to California and saw the reality of the "Immigrant Invasion". The Immigrant areas are the most violent areas around. Full of Crime, Chaos and Contempt for America. And the Media won't report any of it. The immigrants can go anywhere they want, here in Los Angeles, but there are HUGE Hispanic areas where white people are treated like targets of opportunity. It is open season on Whites and the Media doesn't care. Interestingly enough, the Police still do care, but are increasingly being targeted by the Media & Liberal Pols. for "racial profiling".



"Demographic Changes" is a phrase the media uses a lot.

This means violent, American-Hating Hispanics, Asians and sometimes Russians start moving into an area and their Gangs begin intimidating White & Black Americans until the Americans leave the area. Real estate prices begin a slide, which is fine with the immigrants, because that means they can afford the houses so recently vacated by whites more easily. Then as services decline and crime sky-rockets the Media blames Police and the "Immigrant-bashing" "Far Right" for being "insensitive".



Things are changing though, as more and more people are finding out that

"Immigrants only want a better way of life" really means "Immigrants WILL take YOUR Way of Life... and your job... and your home... and maybe the lives of your wife & kids too... if they feel like it".

The ironically named "Family Reunification Act of 2002 (H. R. 1452)," sponsored by Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass. ), which is scheduled for a vote by the House Judiciary Committee, would grant relief from deportation for violent criminals, charges the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).



The legislation would make it easier for non-citizens who have been convicted of crimes that include robbery, theft, burglary, receiving stolen property, narcotics trafficking, alien smuggling, terrorism, murder, rape, child molestation, assault with a deadly weapon, vehicular manslaughter and threatening the life of the President of the United States, to avoid deportation.



H. R. 1452 would repeal the provisions of the 1996 immigration law that prohibited aliens convicted of aggravated felonies from gaining relief from deportation. According to Congressman Frank, automatic deportation for such individuals poses a hardship on the felon's family and should therefore be revoked.

In my area there are a LOT of illegals. I have found that they are some of the nicest people. The ones doing the crimes around here are the second generation that have learned how to use the system we invented. It's depressing.

Back on the subject though, I've had my truck stolen twice right in front of my office at work. It is definatly a major drag. I work at U. C. Berkeley, where most students come from affluent families. Both times the truck was taken it was recovered within 10 miles and had the radio ripped out of it and they ran it out of fuel. Over 3000$ each time in damage to the truck. It happens everywhere.

Lock your vehicle and install a hidden no start switch or maybe a big ugly tarantula inside the truck would help. Let's see, who can we blame since we are all immigrants. I know, blame our ex president Clinton... he has no morals either!!!

That sucks!!! My '96 1500 was stolen 1. 5 yrs ago.

I don't know much about CA law, but talk with your local DA about victims assistance programs to help you recoup your losses. Also, talk with your insurance people and get as much info from the police about the dirt ball... I mean alegid suspect. It may be possible to sue him for restitution in a civil court.

Next time have her put this on, even if they are able to get in, and start it, they can't drive because you have to be able to push the brake to get it into gear, or for manuals, on the clutch so it won't start without the clutch pushed in to start it.

Not to pick a nit, but my parents were born in this country as was I. I believe that makes me native to North America.

Granted, I may have a Western/Northern European heritage, but that doesn't make me a European or an immigrant to this continent.

I *will* grant you that I was born in NJ, and have since migrated to MA, IL and now VA. That makes me a vagrant I mean migrant. But I'm still not an emigrant or immigrant.

The Indian Tribes all Immigrated from somewhere, and took the land from someone, even if only another tribe.

Also, I'm no Immigrant. I, my parents and my Grand-parents were all born on our land in Missouri, which my Great-Grandfather bought from the railroad. Before the RR was given the land, NO Indian tribes lived on it. The Osage used it as a hunting area, but that's all. The Ozarks area was too wild for the Indians, and they preferred to leave it alone except for yearly hunting expeditions. It took hard-workin', Gun-Totin, God-Fearin' White guys to settle the Ozarks.



And don't feel sorry for the Osage by the way, they've done very well as a tribe, thank you very much. They were a bunch of real traders and went up in the white man's world, not down.



What Paul R. Haller and others of his type are trying to convince us of, is that European Culture is somehow less than... somehow not a good Culture... somehow is a mean, violent Culture which should be swept away by the tide of smiling third-worlders flooding over our borders.

Did anybody else catch the national news coverage of the students at UC-Berkeley protesting the bombing in Afghanistan? Enough said.



I attend the NC State Engineering school. State is considered the ag school of the sytem whereas the University of NC at Chapel Hill is the "flagship" liberal arts school of the UNC system. The crap that comes out of Chapel Hill from time to time makes me wonder if the "Ivory Tower of Academia" doesn't need to be renovated with about ten pounds of C-4.



Maybe those protesters that seem to thrive at some of the more liberal colleges need to get a job and try to live outside of their little closed touchy-feely environment so that they can experience the REAL WORLD. But, then again, that would probably shatter their illusion of their place in the perfect little world they have worked so hard to build. Psychiatrists get rich off of those types when they have are finally forced to inhabit the same reality most of us operate in.



The interesting thing is to see them metamorph into a bonafide CONSERVATIVE after their car gets ripped off, they get mugged, their apartment gets broke into or other traumatic experiences at the hands of the "underprivileged" they cried so many tears for.

I agree with what someone said above..... there are many hard working, GOOD immigrants who truly want to be Americans. But they are far outshadowed by the thug element. What amazes me is that those who want to succeed (sp) can and do!!!!! Most in turn, become some of the biggest and loudest critics of how soft we treat their fellow countrymen. They see the importance of hard work and dedication, and are insulted when others abuse the systems we have in place to help someone down on their luck.



Our system of assistance was never ment to be a sole means of support for someone or some family. But thru "Feel Good politics" and out right corruption on the part of MOST (75-80%) elected officials we have what we have today.





I wish I could remember the exact quote, and who said it but here is the cliff notes version... ... ... . "When groups of people figure out that they can GIVE themselves the fruits of others labors thru voting a certain way... then the America we have known in the past will forever be lost..... "

Well, I can see that we have a devout conservative group assembled here... Paul R. Haller, I'm sure you didn't post here to get chopped into little pieces but thanks for posting. It's good to know that there are fellow Californians out there who have a different view of the world than I, even if that view is unpopular.



I listen to various political views every day on both the tv set and radio while at home and sometimes can get overdosed on the stuff. When I think back to the times I have been ****** off at some of the rhetoric and views I have been exposed to, I come to a simple conclusion with reguard to the liberal view.



1) They don't work with their hands for a living

2) They take for granted the hard work and sacrifice of the

blue collar working class American

3) Their political views stem from theoretical dilusions learned

from sick educational institutions



For example, look at Rat Boy. (the taliban traitor from Bezerkly) Not merely a misguided youth, but a fine example of the sickness that is spreading through this country. His parents should be ashamed and remorsefull of his actions yet backed his play and showed America how the sickness is passed on through generations.



Sometimes i'm proud to be a Californian, but when I look at infected locations like Arcata, Berkely, San Francisco... I hang my head in shame. I doubt many of the leaders in those communities every served their country in the Military and promised to fight and kill to preserve our way of life here in the U. S.



Is there hope? Who knows. But if we want to make this nation stable and soluable, we need to trim the fat, cure the sickness, deport illegals and stop smokin dope and hoping for a perfect society where all people live in harmony and love one another.

hey guys, your not going to deport me are you? I happen to like the US, I even like TX and I hate snow!



I moved to the US 5 years ago from Canada (legally) and if you happen to be a skilled, educated white male, it ain't easy and it ain't cheap!But if your were born in Cuba, have no skills, no education and no employer wanting to hire you, come on in



The immigration process is so complex, so slow and inept, it's easy to see why many choose to remain illegal alien, it's just easier especialy in southern states. And believe it or not an incompetent INS system CREATES more problem than it solves.



After being issued 5 annual visas, for the same job with the same employer I still have to prove to INS that my skills are needed on a permanent basis to get my resident alien status. It's been in the system since october of 2000, in the mean time they have issued me 2 annual visas for the same job! The only people that profit from the current system are the immigration lawyers, wich you can't do without.



When it's all said and done moving to the US legally will have taken about 6 years and cost me over 10K in legal and INS fees. That's a lot of BOMBs damn it!



I'm in no way saying that immigrating to the US should be easy or a free ride. It's a privilege and I'm greatfull for the oportunity. But there should be a better, faster and yes, safer way to do it.



IMHO tighten up immigrations for unskilled workers, students and "refugies" and come up with a comprensive and efficient system for documented, educated, skilled and needed workers that want to contribute to this great country, not leache on it. I think everybody would be better of. ]

They have already a similar system in place for medical doctors, 35% of ALL doctors(MD's) praticing in the US are immigrants. When was the last time a foreing doctor was arrested for terrorism? The govement can get INS reformed, but that means a lot of people are gonna loose their jobs in DC and INS lawyers have very good lobbist and give lots of money to polititians so I ain't holding my breath!
