Not a dire emergency, but I would like to get my truck running again tonight.

I just got Rod's kit-no instructions or ideas- and it comes with five steel banjo eliminators (one tapped for gauge), three AN -8 90-degree fittings, one straight AN fitting, one pushlok fitting, and a length of braided hose as well as a length of pushlok hose.

Where does the pushlok fitting go and how does the other end attach?

I had to improvise a gauge hookup, my fitting was female to the old test port. I stuck the OEM boost fitting in the port for my gauge... that was a trick. But trick I must as nothing is open around here. And I'd like some fuel pressure.

I'm going back under the hood. Will check back every now and again. Who knows I might figger it out. Right now I am working from back to front intstalling fittings and will cut the hose last.

TIA.

I think I got it now. The pushlok slides over the metal line from the tank then "loks" at the LP. Now to figger the best place for the straight fitting. I'm thinking off the 44 inlet, as a 90 puts the line right in the way of the PS filler hole.

Now to cut the OEM line and that braided stuff, yeehaw.

Wade, before you cut the SS line wrap it with black tape first to hold it tight or you will play heck getting it into the pushlock fittings, I used a straight at the outlet of the oem filter housing but you will need an elbo there if your l/p is in its oem location, also at the inlet to the vp I had a fitting for 1/8" npt for my f/p tap comming out the side of the fitting that I screwed a grease gun hose into for dampning to the sender . the S/S line hooking up to the end headed for the filter outlet. Make sure the S/S line doesnt rub anything as it will ruin it... ... . very abrasive.

Good luck and dont get any diesel in your pits :-laf :-laf :-laf

Cheers, Kevin

okay done, move post thanks

Well if'n the feller at DTR had used compressed air to blow the fuel back into the tank... like I did with the cap on and it came right back DOH!!!

Done deal, going for test run, report later.

This may be to late but after cutting the braided hose clean out the "plastic" burrs on the inside of the line, I used a cut off wheel = lots of speed and had some burrs in the line that I wouldn't want in my VP-44 even thou it is plastic.

Good Luck

Craig

All done. I cut the SS part of the lines with a die grinder and then cut the soft and gooey part with my pocket knife.

Went for test drive. GOOD grief it takes FOREVER to warm up a Cummins! Okay, T-stat opens and I nail it--zoom------ POOP! What the HECK? Still have fuel pressure. Then as I pull over I figure out that I've blown the boot. Sure enough--few minutes later I'm back in route.

Then it starts raining. Hard to get a good hard pull when the backend won't hook up. Still I can already see that it's difficult to get to 8psi. FTR, I was able to BOUNCE the needle off zero before.

So later I come back to my hill, and it's DRY and I give her the old test run. Hit 36 boost, and 100mph on the hill and only got the supply fuel down to 7psi!!!

That ROCKS! :D

Now for a turbo!
