Will 235/85 fit on 2001 forged wheels 16x8?

Are 235/85 16 tires to narrow to run on the 16x8 forged aluminum wheels. I have a set of studded snow that I have never put on this truck.

235s are fine for a 16x8

check with the manufacturer of the tire for specific info, but the tire will mount up fine. You may want to play with the tire pressure to make sure you're getting the tread footprint flat on the ground.
