Will the Aluminum rims from a 99-02 fit on a 89-93? Or will the drums rub?

Im narrowing down the search for a fist gen but I also want to spruce it up a bit with my spare stock rims. But my first hump is to get my hands on a rig, Ive had many leads but all fall thru.

Thanks guys!

I did have 16x8 alum rims on my 1st gen gasser :( that I sold :{ but im not sure if these stock wheels are the same backspacing and the ID is the same... .

BTW its a BDS 5" suspension lift

I have them on mine.

I changed the lugs over to 9/16 so I could use the nuts and hubcaps.

They will fit on the back but are tucked under the truck way too far. The front would accept a 7" steel wheel but not the 8". I had special adpter/spacers made that are top notch.

Do a search and you could probably find all the info. on an earlier post I did about the swap. Probably 2 years by now.

I tried a set of 2002 W 250 wheels on my 1991 W 250 and they hit the tie rod ends. :{ I finally put 19. 5 wheels on. They cleared fine. :) Hope this helps.

I got a freebee. My boss has a junkyard and has several old railroad trucks. I got them complete with almost new 8rX19. 5 Goodyears on them from him. Just painted them up and put them on, bolted right up. If I cut the wheels to the stop they just barely rub the inner fender. Pix in my "readers rigs gallery".
