Will a 1500 Tailgate fit my 2500?

Just like the title says. I need a dent free tailgate and I can get one off of a 1500. Will it fit?

Should fit just fine as long as it's the same generation body style.

Should fit just fine as long as it's the same generation body style.

In addition to any 3rd gen tailgate, a 2002 1500 tailgate will also fit. The only difference in all these tailgates is that the 3500 DRW has a brake light in the middle.
