will a 37" tire fit in the spare location?

I just purchased my new tires and was wondering if a 37 will fit in the stock spare location? i am contemplating one of those tiregates, but there expensive. just wondering if anyon has tried this and has had sucess. thanks

I believe the 315 70 17 is the largest that will fit in the spare tire area. Mine is pretty tight in there. I can't imagine fitting a larger tire.

Thats right the 315 is max size thatwill fit on a 3rd gen

315/70 17 is 34. 5", and is a tight fit.

I have had both 315 and 325s installed in mine,with a Mag hytec cover you will need to pull it back towards the bumper.

as long as you still have the stock receiver hitch, I don't and it won't!

You could always let the air out of the 37 and put it in, then air it up!:-laf
