Hey gang, I have a 5-speed manual and my question is will a 6-speed manual of a comparable year bolt up to the Cummins witout any big changes?

as far as i know you only need to change the flywheel because of the larger clutch and of course the clutch, pressure plate, throw out and pilot bearings Have the check book ready as those parts will run you a couple of grand and the 5600 is not cheap either. Good luck

The 6 speed is longer than the 5 speed. You need to adjust the drive shaft lengths front and rear. May be other issues too.

I saw last night in the latest TDR that a company was advertising an upgrade kit for the 5 to 6 speed conversion.

I am happy with my 6 speed! Call Peter @ Southbend Clutch, and he will get you set up with your existing flywheel. I know, because that is what I am about to do!
