Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) will a S.O. injection pump run on a H.O.

I have a S. O. pump off of a 01 auto and guy is wanting to put it on his 6 speed H. O. will it run just fine?

I don't think it is recomended but I know a guy who installed one with no issues. I think most definitely going the other way would cause an issue (H. O. pump on S. O. engine). The one thing that will probably matter more is the year of pump. I THINK but am not ***itive 98. 5 and 99 were different than 00-02.

i would not advise it either. my cousin put an so pump on his 02 ho and was not happy with the results. truck ran fine i just dont think truck has as much power as it did before.
