Its different on every truck. Some people gain, some don't. Alot of it depends on how you drive I suppose.

So there is no concrete answer.

Last I knew Edge products carry a money back garentee, try it, if you don't like it send it back for a refund.

Adding an EZ will make a difference, but its not a "big" power adder.

Kat,

Next time you say an EZ is not a "big" power adder, please include your signature so that the "real" people see that you might actually know what you're talking about:D You haven't done much to the rig since "SheKat" is in the pic have you?;) Now you know how the other 98% live... LOL

I picked upo about 1/2 mpg with my 2000 with the EZ. You usually drive it harder after its bombed,so its hard to tell sometimes. My dad claims 1 mpg,but he never calculates it,he just looks at the overhead console. The Ez/injectors are a great combo on the ETH motor, since it doesntrespond well to major fueling boxes.

I've done quite a bit actually, she encourages some of it.

BD IV's, DD camshaft, 93% race converter and related transmission stuff (not in yet), B1, AT-4 turbos, pusher pump, trip to Vegas for May Madness (I asked her to go too)... ... shes actually helped me on a few things. So its not all that bad. She knows nitrous is coming.

I will say shes got my "I have an idea" look down tho... . I look at stuff, and shes says don't even think about it ;) And I'm like... "what? "

So I wouldn't say shes slowed me down... . I'm just at the point I gotta see what works, and what doesn't.

I told her she couldn't drive it, until it was "perfect" ... .

Shes really understanding about my "required" trucks modifications :D

Big gains for me.......

I gained a solid 1½ to 2 MPG. That's with the loaded down Beast. I was getting 10. 5 constant and after the EZ 12 to 12. 5 depending on the amount of city/town driving.

If your worried about it paying for itself you'd have to count the amount of smiles per gallon with the extra horses you'll gain.

Now with the 02 the gains were minimal because it's unloaded and was getting great mileage to begin with. I think you'll see bigger gains when towing rather than empty driving.

Forget about any mileage increase... . I haven't seen any!!! You will be driving it like it's stolen after you put the EZ on. Can't help but to frequently have your foot into it. :D :D

Don't rely on your overhead console MPG calculator. It will be falsely high due to the effects of the box and way the computer calculates. :(

I did not see a change in mileage with the EZ. But then again I am like Kat... ... and I count smiles per gallon and smiles per cubic foot of black smoke :D :D

I actually figured out how long it would take me to pay for a DD cam shaft if I got a 3 mpg increase... I am trying to justify that :D

If you want to know it came out at about 10 years... ... . Maybe I need to drive more miles per year to get this down... hehee

I actually so a decrease in mileage (calculated not the overhead, this showed a two miles a galon increase). I think the problem is I can't keep my foot out of it

I agree... I didn't see an increase at all either when I added my PE Comp. That is ENTIRELY due to the fact that I run it harder now.

I even tried to upgrade the intake system, twice, to increase the mileage (and decrease EGT's of course), it hasn't helped.

I'm not complaining about the mileage I get mind you, 'cause this is much much better than what I got in my gasser 2500. 11-13 mpg at $1. 50+ per gallon. Can you say "ouch?" I knew you could.

I found a bunch of fuel tickets laying around... averaged them up.

Even after my upgrades I was still getting 14 to 17mpg... depending on how much highway driving is mixed in.

First tank after cam is 16. 25 mpg... . but there was 180 miles of highway on that. So too early to tell on what kind of gain I will see.

It looks like from some of the first furl tickets I was getting anywhere from 14. 75 to 15. 75 on stock tires, stock power.

Then the next fuel tickets I found after swapping to the bigger tires and other various upgrades It ranges from 12. 95 mpg to 16. 55 mpg. This was mostly with DDIII's as the injectors.

SInce BD IV's went in it has been 13. 84 mpg to 17. 19.

First tank after cam 16. 25 mpg.

I am missing a bunch of fuel tickets so I only calculated with what I had just so I could get a general idea.

Bear in mind I have 4. 10 gear ratio and drive pretty aggressive most time (just take a look at the rear tires).

I am most likely going to drop back to DDIII's and have my BD IV's tested, make sure they are all working as intended.
