All I can tell you is with my mods (same as last fall dyno) 5-6 secs of WOT I am at 1300F pre turbo with ~40lbs of boost. I have done this hundreds of times with any issues YET. Your turbo is 9cm, smaller than mine and it should be limited to ~35PSI.

Your truck must pull a bunch harder than before, how do you like the sticks?

Chances are from experience with my own and customers..... ya your gasket will probably hold, your head bolts will stretch... ... and lift the head, then you will need studs gasket... ... etc. That kind of boost in a HY, you could be looking for more than that before the bolts go.

Like most people though, if you are getting away with it now, you will continue to do so, until something happens... ... . weather the turbo comes apart or the gasket lets go 100+ miles away from home. If I were you I would fire ring the head and block now or at least O-ring the head and add studs, and lose the turbo and get a bigger one.

Isn't the HY supposed to be kept down in the 28-32 PSI range?

The HX around 35.

I don't see you having problems till you get a different turbo and 40+ PSI.

just for piece of mind, there is always a chance. i blew mine with a stock hx35 and a #5 plate thats it. boost never got above 32 psi. josh
