Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting USA vs Canada

Good (and cheaper) source for Stanadyne pencil injectors

A little distance made a big difference around here. We got a little over a foot with the first 4-5 inches being very heavy and wet. 20 miles north in Foster they got 24 inches of fluff. I wish I was plowing there rather than here.

Im KIND of feeling the same way:rolleyes:

I cut way back on my hauling, I haven't had to drive in the snow this winter, not once. 87 here in central TX today, working in the shop in a t-shirt. I am heading toward WA next month, keeping my fingers crossed.

My guess is it’s a lot heavier and wet than the mountain snow you’re used to.

YEP!!! this is like concrete heavy which we did get occasionally in Montana if the storms came from the Pacific Coast, if it came from Canada it generally was powdered sugar. The cold here is damp with makes it feel colder than it is " IT IS WHAT IT IS" I just stay home if it gets NASTY and do paperwork send it to the office via computer :D

We had a power outage the generator fired up and is running ALL Home power requirements. ;)

The last time I was in Fairbanks temps hit the 100 mark, so I know it's impossible to escape the heat sometimes. Our AC died there, no RV dealerships had repair capability. Go figure.:-laf

We got about a foot the other day. Heart attack snow. HEAVY!
Some locals reported 15++ inches. Snow bands going through I guess.
It it were just a few degrees colder, it would have been 30" ++. Or more.
@ my place it was above 32 for the entire length of the storm.

It's all gone today but for the shaded areas.

There’s still close to a foot in the woods here, although I expect it to shrink this coming week with 40 + degree temps . It’s gone from anywhere that gets full sun.

It was 44 degrees at 9pm here last night in the Western Foothills of NC. By midnight, we had 2 inches of wet, heavy snow on the ground. About 1000 foot higher to the north, they got up to 15 inches.

Took the Mules out before daybreak to get after the 12"s of snow we had on our half mile driveway, then did our Daughters 1/4 mile driveway and our Son In Law's Mothers LONG LONG XXX driveway.

Gave the Boy's a dozen carrots each & a Yuengling Black & Tan to wash them down. :D

I put about 120 miles on the Polaris yesterday up in the country, really a winter wonderland with the trees coated in frost and fresh snow. If you stepped off the trail, you would go up to your waist in snow......We still have winter here for sure!
