Will my 5.9 2007 Dodge Mega Cab canopy fit a new 2015 shortbed?

Hi. I think of buying a brand new Ram truck. I'll buy a short bed 6' 5" bed if my Mega Cab 6' 5" canopy would fit. Does anybody know? Thanks, Herb

I know that the tailgate will be different.
My brother has a 2012 model and I have the 2009 model. We both have the same brand truck caps. The only thing different between the two seems to be the rear window. The cap manufacturer modified the rear window and added a piece of horizontal fiberglass to the bottom of the back window to cover the differences in the tailgates. It is kind of a cheesy fix though it works.

Ironically enough I just had the back window out of my truck cap after my wife got it caught in the garage door. A.R.E. truck cap manufacturer wanted $352.80 for the rear window including the frame. It might be worth investigating if you can purchase a new back window for your truck cap and swap it out. It would be a lot cheaper than a new cap. It is held in place by 4 large rivets and a dozen or so screws.
