Help!! Problem started after Changing fuel filter. Drained filter bowl to wipe out some white deposits. Filled bowl with clean diesel. Inserted new filter and cranked for lift pump to work. Then tried starting. Ran for about 2 secs before died. Pulled filter out and lift pump was pushing fuel into bowl. Reinserted filter and tried again. Nothing. Bled to banjo fitting. Fuel came squirting out all over. Tried to start. Still nothing. What can I do next. HELP!

You may have air down into the vp-44. Run the lift pump ( bumping the starter) and loosen the banjo for the filter outlet. Do it agian for the vp-44 inlet banjo ( way down there) while lift pump is running. If you made a mess you did it correct ( fuel all over). Try to start if not:Then while crancking ( need two people)crack an injector feed nut on the head. Trace the lines back, you want the injector on the line that runs to the top of the vp-44 to get the air out. ( 12 O'clock or around there) , When fuel leaks out around the nut (large size ) it is bled out. If this does not work ( no fuel comes out) then a code was set or the fueling relay is not getting a signal This happened to me when I ran low with a crappy lift pump.
