Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Will not start unless you hand prime!! Ideas ?

'94 2500 Does anybody have any ideas? My truck has 302,191 only mods have been the pump has been turned up to the hi end of the specs. Could the Prime-loc have a air leak in a line?

If its a 95-98 check the rubber fuel lines where the go from the back of engine to steel lines on the frame they crack let air in and cause the hard start.

scroll down to the fuel hose section. Also check the tank vents, I've had to deal with both issues.

It sounds like you have an air leak. There are several places that it can be. Some of the likely culprits are your rubber fuel lines and the fuel preheater. I suspect Joe G will chime in at some point and he has a very good writeup on the fuel system that would help you go through and fix this.
