Will not start

trried to start my 2006 diesel and all that happens is dash lights and dials just flash, I have cleaned the batteries still same thing Help

Possibly security issue with the key? Do you have the playschool key and are using it? Is there a red light flashing on the cluster somewhere?

Additionally, are your headlights bright as usual or dimmed? Do you have a voltmeter that you can check voltage?

Do not know how many modules you have on the 06 but that could be the problem.
Also your batteries mite have run low
I take it you cleaned the battery terminals.
In case members do not this I will put it here because I have run across quite a ot males ( females should know this also). This especially applies to vehicles with a lot of modules( computers ).
Negative connector/ cable off first.
Positive off second ( on our trucks this applies to both batteries)
When re connecting.
Positive on first.
Negative on last. Why because if you do it the opposite way you could fry a few modules(computerd) and sensors.
