Will the 315/70 BFG's fit as a spare?

Yes, and just barely. You really need 2 people to get it up there, one to crank and another to guide the tire. Pull back on the tire as it goes up so it is back towards the hitch and not too far forward to the axle. Also be careful of the wiring loom on the driver's side frame rail, you don't want to catch that and pull on it hard.

I have installed 315's and a Mag-Hytech diff cover and the two don't go together. The spare fits up there just fine but there is only about 1 1/2" between the bottom of the spare and the TOP of the diff cover. The factory cover doesn't have a "top" and slopes down immediately but the Mag-Hytech 's cover has a top about 2" deep. I went back to the factory spare.

That's exactly what I thought when I put the 315 spare in. . Thanks for confirming it.

I am also pretty sure that the Kelderman rear 2 stage air ride will conflict with a 315 spare. That puts a crimp in some of my plans. . I am not sure what I'll do yet.

Hey David, You can always go back to the factory spare. That wouldn't bee any worse the those bicycle tires that they use for a spare on passenger cars.

Yep, I've still got my factory tires and that is an option. I'll wait to make that decision until I have to though (like when I can afford the Kelderman rear setup). .

Hey Guys!

Always had this prob. when running diff size tires street/mud. With a locker in back (Toy Land Cruiser) I knew I'd have to put the smaller/larger tire on the front. I think it would be the same w/ the limited slip on the rear of the Dodge. If your flat was on rear, you'd have to switch out a front tire to keep the diameter of rear tires the same. The differential in the front would allow for different size, but not sure I'd want to run indefinately that way, too much wear on the spider/side gears.
