Enquiring minds would like to know how would the truck function without a signal from the TPS to PCM( the orange with dark blue tracer wire cut). Is it possible to make any damage to the transmission or another part of the truck. I’m convinced there must be people on the board informed and ready to give the information to learning ones!

Werner, I have a 5 speed truck, it dont have a TPS.

We probibally have the same engine. CPL 2175

So, would the engine function without a TPS, probibally..... if you had a harness from a manual trans truck, I dont see why it wouldnt.

Using the harness in your truck you'd have to do a lot of tracing, and probibally some modification to it.

It might even have a different PCM . ?

In the long run, I believe it would hurt the auto trans to eliminate it.

Also I think the TPS has some control over torque converter lock-up, and overdrive, so probably neither of those would work.
