I am adding 3 pillar mount gauges (VDO Vision) and 2 Westach gauges on the lower dash. If I splice them into existing dash lighting will the fuse or switch (or whatever might get hot) handle the extra load? I hope I do not need to screw around with a relay. Also, for power and lighting what fuse or wire should I scotchlock into? Thanks.

PS: Everything I have purchased for my new truck has been on the advice of TDR members. I have never been disappointed. #ad

Shleets,

I am powering six Isspro guage lights by tapping into the lighting circuit at the radio. The first owner had already tapped it there for two lights, I added to it. I have not had fuse problems.

My plans are to change this in the future as I will be adding more lighting.

Shouldn't have a problem. Have been running the backlights for a six switch Galls street thunder unit and the lights for a combo gauge for 4 years.
