Will the Diesel Fuel Cost kill the performance

development???? I know there are some features that can improve mileage BUT not many of us really stop there - and I don't see the tremendous need as it was when fuel was under a buck... ...



I see this as the end of the fun a lot of us use to have... ... I for one will not replace my truck nor drive it as much as I use to... ...

Unfortunately, it is people having fun using fuel (gas and diesel) that has contributed to the high cost of using fuel for the necessary things in life.



Snowmobiles, boats, ATVs, speeders, big SUV grocery getters.



Reduce the demand and supplies will rise and the cost will come down.



Think of it this way, there are nearly 106 million households in the USA (2000 census). If each household used 25 fewer gallons a fuel a year, there would be an additional 2. 65 BILLION gallons of fuel available for use on things like commuting to work, delivering and manufacturing goods.

I blame it on the EverReady Bunny.



If he quit hopping around, that would reduce the demand for batteries.

Which would reduce the demand for delivering said batteries.

Which would reduce fuel consumption used for delivering said batteries.



We all need to go back to windup toys. No more batteries, that's the anwer.



Even if it wasn't diesel, we'd still want to go fast and faster.

I would have to agree with you on that one. The worst part is in MI they are the ones crying the loudest about the price#@$%!

I used to own and drive a gas-powered vehicle that received about 10mpg on its best day.



Now I own a diesel that gets on average 17mpg. I'm doing my part.



I'm just glad there isn't any market manipulation involved.
