Will this pump work on a 96 12v? Numbers on the pump are 0 402 736 842 7642827147 and PES6P120A120RS7281 , and RQV400... 1250PA1060-1K

I’m thinking this pump might have came off a none automotive engine. If it will not work can it be made to work?

If it came off a non-automotive engine it probably has a different type of governor. If it does then it won't drive right, especially if the governor is a constant RPM type like a gen set or a marine engine.

Can a constant RPM type governor be converted to a automotive type gonernor? I was thinking about p-pumping my first gen and I have had this pump sitting on the shelf for a while the only thing I know is it came off a 6bt

Yes you can run that pump, It has the right style gov.

The pump you have is a 7000 series pump, and it's the right rotation, im not sure of the horsepower of that pump.

Also you can swap RQV and RSV govs from pump to pump.
