I was just searching the web for wheels and I found this one from ultrawheels. It is a platinum-retro 240 series. It is a 17X8, 5 1/4 inch backspacing, and a +19 offset (8X165 bolt pattern) ((I checked the specs)). Isn't this pretty close to stock?? It even has a pic of the wheels on an 04 Ram on their website and they don't seem to stick out too far. I need other peoples input/experience with this wheel. Please help. Here is the website: http://www.ultrawheel.com/wheel_detail.cfm?brand=2&id=106

My weld wheels have those measurements except are 8. 5" wide. I needed flares but they don't stick way out like other wheels I have seen on 3rd gens. I get lots of compliments on the fit with the flares.

That wheel will sit out 3/4" of an inch further than stock. Not bad especially with flares.

The truck looks very sharp Matt! How do you like the DC tire's?

I also like the Ultrawheel's FPoitra's looking at. The only thing you may need to double check are the rims clearing the calipers as some 17's don't.

So far I like them. They are a tad more noisy on the highway than I like and really wanted the 295 Nitto Terra Grappler but they were on national back order. These DC tires pick up less rocks than the Toyo open Country's I had on my 03.

Yes and you wouldn't think so. My son bought 18's for his 03 and they fit as tight around the caliper as my 17's. Kinda odd, I think his has more meat in that area for strength due to a lesser quality material possibly because there was a huge price difference. His are cast and mine are forged.
