I am trying to see if a vp44 ho will work on a 1999 model pickup that belongs to a friends son and has a pump out.

Thats funny, because I have a HO off a 2002 6 speed, and the threads in the 911 say it wont work. I have also contacted a few shops that also say the HO pump will not work on an ETC. That is the reason I have my HO for sale!!?

I have seen those threads. I posted to a couple of them.

A little over a year ago I was shopping around for a replacement SO pump. At that time they were very hard to find.

When I contacted BD and asked if they had any new pumps they told me that the had several HO pumps in stock, but did not stock SO pumps because the price was the same as the HO and that when guys in that area had to change out pumps they wanted the HO since it resulted in more power.

I bought one.

Truck runs strong and does not set codes.

I also run an Edge EZ.

So you have a HO vp on a ETC motor??? What year was the HO originally made for? And the motor that it is on is a early, or late 2001, (2001. 5) (Disks or Drums)?????

fyi, yogi 160 on nwbombers has a ho inj pump on his 99. read dynoday in id thread and see he dynoed 270rwhp. only mods is ho vp44, pusher pump and eliminate banjos. see his recent thread at nwbombers

Yes, HO in ETC. It is 2001. 5 truck, very late in 01 model year. The HO pump is a -028 version, other than that I don't know that it can be associated with any particular model year.
