Willie Nelson doesn't like ticking lift pumps...

filled up w/ B20 for the first time today... my ticking lift pump had a different ring to it, my idle went up 50rpm or so, and my exhaust smelled like donuts... life was good.



got home and found fuel dripping out of the lift pump plunger.



luckily I had a brand new one that I never installed two ticking trucks ago :-laf



all three of my previous trucks ticked like crazy. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself this thing is so quiet!

when i replaced my lp the tick just moved back to the fuel tank, i guess with my flatbed it's all open and theres nothing to muffle the surge

Biodiesel is the way to go on 12 valves. When I had gotten about 7 tanks of it my fuel system suddenly showed its age and became a sprinkler system. Now with all the rubber lines replaced I just enjoy the smooth, quiet operation. I also like the way B20 smells out of the pump.
