Pretty amazing results on an otherwise stock engine especially down low.

It does appear that you would have to give up the heater grid and with the extra pieces, this is is going to be a little more expensive than some of the other alternatives out there.

These intakes all show gains in the low-Mid RPM range. Overall Torque is better but Peak is always close to stock manifold. Who has put one on? Thoughts?

I just wonder if they are going through so much trouble to make the new intake plate why stop with what they did. I guess the injection might get in the way if they tried more.

I was wondering how hard the Big Hoss intake would be to install. I guess you'd have to remove the head and machine off the intake the put on the Banks' unit. Do that, and port/polish the head and you could really move some air.

While we were working on the intake... the injection line for #2 injector becomes a problem. We would have gone bigger but to start making and bending lines would get expensive.

What about the Banks Big Hoss Intake that replaces the whole thing?

The intake banks intake is about 700 dollars. Then you have to remove the head, machine it, have it tapped and while your going trough that expense might as well port it. By the time it is all said and done, your looking at about 2600 dollars plus. BTW with what people are doing on a stock head which is north of 1000 HP that much money is better spent on other goodies.

I installed a wilson manifold plate/intake on my 06 (see sig) and so far I am impressed with the results, lower egt,s maybe 80 to100 deg. ,more power for sure (i can slip the clutch on sw. 2 in 4th 5th 6th with about 2/3 throttle, before it took nearly full throttle if at all on sw. 2 smarty ) much less black smoke and almost no grey haze. I dont know about fuel mileage yet,but it sure feels better so far. I have tried many different products and most get returned or sold used, so when i find something that seems to really work I feel I should pass the word. Other than my pac brake and my smarty this is one of my best mods. so far.
