One of my many. many faults is when I find something that works for me I try to inflict that on everyone around me.

About 6 months ago a friend of mine gave me a Wilson Truckers Cellular Antenna as a gift for a favor I had done for him. His gift to me has turned out to be far greater than the favor I had done for him. THIS THING WORKS!

Case in point: I was coming out of Fla. last week in a motorhome. My wife was following me in our '03 Dodge pulling a 36' TT. I have the antenna mounted on the frame of the wind deflector. The base is about cab level and the tip is about 24" above the roof of the cab. My banker called me. I was in a truck stop refueling the motorhome. Standing in the middle of the parking lot with the cell phone up to my ear, my banker and I were yelling at each other trying to be heard. Finally the cell site DROPPED the call. I walked over to my Dodge, got in, plugged in the antenna and dialed my banker back. Call went right thru and we talked in normal tones for the rest of the conversation. This thing works!

Will it solve ALL your cell problems? NO! Will it make your cell work FAR better than it ever has? YES!

Mi dos pesos.

Not really. They are sold at major truckstops for $59. 95. BTW Rusty, I forgot to mention that they make one for RVs and Motorhomes.

Wilson Electronics, St. George, Utah. Would one of you 'puter gurus be so kind as to find a website and post it for us. Also, if someone could post a picture from their website, that would be great! "A picture is worth a 1000 words but an example is worth a 1000 pictures".

I have used a smaller wilson cell antenna before and it was very impressive the gains you could get. I think i finally found a cell phone i like so i might look into getting a new antenna. The problem i have is i hate plugging that damn phone in all the time. There is however another side to the story. Most of the places i go where i drop coverage i dont really need nor want to have a phone attached to my ear.

Seed, I know how you feel. Those of us that work for ourselves(too sorry to work for someone else) and require excellant communication, a good external antenna is a God send. If you don't want to talk, don't answer... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... works for me!

I'll chime in here. I have had one of these Wilson antenna's on my truck for two years. Mine is the glass mount version. I absolutely love it. I drive across South Dakota alot and there are alot of areas where coverage is very poor. with my phone plugged into the antenna it is very rare I cannot get a signal. The really nice part is that I have switched phones three times. The wilson antenna is already setup to use different adaptors depending on what phone you have. No need to be running new wire or anything else, pick up the appropriate adaptor and you are set.
