Winch question: Can you get a good quality, reasonably high-rated winch for the front of the truck without having to replace the bumper?

Wench question: Have any of you figured out women yet? I know I haven't.

Warn transformer brushguard/winch mount keeps the stock bumper. I think you might loose the front tow eyes but I'm not sure. There's 2 different mounts, one for the smaller winches and one for the big 12000 to 16. 5? sizes.

I had my wench running my winch last weekend... my winch wench was using my Ramsey ProPlus 9k on the receiver cradle... I don't know how big you want, but the 9k would barely slide this new truck of mine (it slide my dad's 99 all over though)...

Yes! You have to find a good one :D I am lucky, I have. She does not care what I spend on my trucks and wanted me to buy her a jet boat last year so we can go fishing more. She loves to fish and hunt, bought bows together last year :-laf

Only bad thing about this is she is a better fisherman and hunter than I am AND she likes the Dodge they way I have it set up, she says it is hers and I have to get my own vehicle :(

Not a bad problem to have

We just celebrated 3 years of marrage and have been together for 9 years.

They are not all bad! ;)

As far as winches they are more simple. I like WARN, I have an 8000lb Multimount that I use on both trucks, not the biggest but it works great.

Just my . 02

Have a great day :D

I agree with two points on this comment:

My ProPlus 9k isn't the biggest, but it works for me... I don't think I would want to depend on it getting me unstuck though...

And I would have to say either go with a Warn or milemarker hydraulic (their electrics are pretty crappy) as my Ramsey has been broken before (something about a poor drive sprag design in the proplus/patriot series)...
