Wind Noise/Defrost

I have noticed the last few morning's when I have the defrost on I get the driver side wind noise from around the door----I shut the defroster off and the wind noise is gone. Has anyone else discovered this between the two? Any ideas or theories why the two would be tied to one another

Noise

I notice it more in the colder temperatures.

I test drove a new truck that would whistle like crazy in your ear with the fan on full. Open the door or a window and it quit. Just an air leak in the weatherstripping. My new truck does not do this, but it puts out enough pressure to almost pop my ears, if I turn it on full speed. See if it quits when you crack a window on either the drivers or passengers side, then try to track it down. Maybe a small piece of foam in the right place would silence it.

The reason for the wind noise on defrost is: the recirculating air is on while in defrost mode

, the other modes ie. heater . or vent the outside air is open thus creating pressure inside the cab. the pressure stops the whistle .
