Since new, the drivers door seems to be the only door with excessive wind noise and no it's not just because it's the closest one to me. I thought I heard that there were no aftermarket seals that were better than stock but there was an adjustment that would close the door a little tighter. I looked today and I couldn't see anything to move. Am I hallucinating about the adjustment or just blind and can't see where to do it?

I have seen people actually tweak the upper front door/window frame in a little to quite the wind noise down considerably.

Due to the tearing of the weather stripping from the door opening on the 04/05 ML they changed to the 06 designed. My buddies has the same issue.

While under warrantee I had my torn weather stripping replaced. No issues so far.

I decided to leave mine torn. It doesnt seem to leak any, plus I heard the fix made some wind noise. This the first time I have heard from someone who had some good luck with the fix... .

For those who haven't yet torn the old design, consider lubricating the weatherstripping periodically with some silicone spray. My weatherstripping is 8 years old now and still not ripped - I credit silicone lubricant. A couple times a year is all that's necessary.

As stated, a very easy fix. I did mine this afternoon. It only took about 15 minutes and that included getting and putting away the tools and even vacuuming out a bunch of dirt. It does take a couple of good whacks to break the epoxy washer loose but that's all there is to the job. Thanks again TDR.
